What to do in the midst of the storm

  1. Keep your mind on what you are for and off of what you are not for.
  2. Worry gets you no where, send positive energy instead with your thoughts
  3. Be aware of how the circumstances are affecting your body, check out your neck and shoulders, shake it out and let the tension go. Sit up or stand up straight and smile
  4. Beware of uncertainty, be confident that you will win and think that and project I it in your attitude, words and actions
  5. You may not have control over the situation but at least control how you choose to feel about the situation at any moment
  6. Establish control over your body by making a tight fist and tensing your body as you breathe in and then breathe out and relax.
  7. Raise the level of awareness that you bring to the situation, notice, simply notice
  8. Tell yourself “I can handle this”
  9. Beware of hostility even if you are hurt – no negative thoughts – no anger – no vengefulness. Focus on love, joy, peace, forgiveness and hope right to the end.
  10. Breathe in thru your nose slowly and out through your mouth slowly and extend the out breathe to remain relaxed
  11. Send positive energy with your thoughts. Think about what you want for yourself and others. Concentrate on that.
  12. Tense and relax your muscles several times during any ordeal or confrontation to gain more self control
  13. Do nothing out of character – know your principles and live by them in these difficult moments
  14. Don’t use your energy to worry. Use it to do something that will improve your situation
  15. A tree can send a silent message to another tree. You can send a positive message to all concerned.
  16. Look with gratitude on what you have and say thanks
